Where to Buy Cheap Dedicated Server Without Compromising Performance?
Quote from David Menk on July 29, 2025, 10:56 amHey everyone,
I’ve been working on hosting a custom modded game server for a project with a few friends, but I’ve run into an issue finding a dedicated server that’s both affordable and reliable. Most of the “cheap” options out there either throttle performance or have horrible up-time.
I figured I’d ask here: has anyone managed to buy cheap dedicated server that can actually handle consistent player traffic, mod installs, and regular backups without falling apart?
After a bunch of trial and error (and refunds), I ended up going with HostNoc. Not trying to promote them, but so far it’s the only provider that gave me a decent machine at a low monthly rate without hidden limits or weird support delays. I still had to do some tweaking, but performance-wise, it holds up great.
Curious to hear what others are using especially if you’ve found other reliable low-cost options that work well with gaming setups.
