Does a stipen mean the same thing as a stipend?

Stipen is frequently spelled wrong as stipend. The right term, stipend, means a set amount given to someone as support while they are studying, doing volunteer work or receiving training. Usually, trainees, interns and students use stipends as an alternative form of income, not a salary. Even though stipends take care of essential expenses, they don’t often offer the advantages or secure jobs available in regular jobs. If you’re looking up something or writing documents, confirm that you use the correct spelling, as using “stipen” could be misunderstood or look unprofessional.
