Are influencers more influential than parents or teachers for teenagers today?

As social media becomes more dominant, I’ve started to wonder if teens look up to influencers more than they do their own parents, teachers, or local role models. Influencers are often seen as relatable, cool, and aspirational—and they’re in a teen’s feed constantly, sometimes even more than family or educators.

What do you think this shift means for the development of young minds? Are influencers taking on roles they aren’t prepared for—like setting values, teaching habits, or even shaping beliefs? And if so, what can be done to guide teens toward more mindful consumption?
